Alright so it has been an interesting few days. Michael Buble is on tour so of course he has not been HOME at all! By tour I mean his day job and in our family's case that means weekly travel. The way the travel has fallen lately it has pretty much been back to back! Sooooo Dennis the Menace and I have had some real bonding sessions lately. Maybe I should re-phrase that- we have had some Mommy pull her hair out while child thinks it is funny to test me in every aspect of my life. Patience is something I am lacking lately!
On a side note- Dennis is currently about 5 inches from figuring out how to get out of the crib. Not that this is shocking considering half of the Mouseketeers have already figured this out but really- JUST STAY IN THE CRIB!
Okay that was boring- let's get to the good stuff! So I am a space cadet times 1000 sometimes. Today I met Jennifer Aniston (who in this blog is married to Bradley Cooper- Love him!) at NorthPark Mall for a the grand opening of the LEGO store. I mean we went on a whim- total last minute, both dying to get out of the house- completely spontaneous.
Let's digress for a bit and chat a little bit about Jennifer Aniston. She is one of my sweetest friends and we have TONS in common. I actually think our sons were connected at birth ( I mean not really....but maybe!!!), it could happen right??. Both sons are blondies, both have food sensitivities(fun times!) and in general the same demeanor. Okay so anyway- the 411 on Jennifer is she likes to work out, is a super talented photographer and like I said before is married to Bradley Cooper.
Soooo we met today for the grand opening of the LEGO store. I mean really are LEGOs that popular? Really do people camp out for days before the store opens? I mean is the blue six dot lego that amazing? APPARENTLY! Literally the line was wrapped around the entire mall (okay maybe not the ENTIRE mall but close enough)! We basically just pushed our strollers right into the store (oblivious to the 25 mile line outside) and LEGO Geek snapped 6 red dot LEGOS together and pushed us out of the store with his LEGO barricade! Too bad the Maclaren crapped out on me and the LEGOs Won! Dang those LEGOS are strong!!
So I go ask a LEGO Geek why this line is so long and what is the big deal about this store- his response: Well LEGOs are only the coolest toy EVER invented. OH REALLY? I beg to differ- what about Cabbage Patch Kids and My Little Pony- I mean the My Little Pony barn....come on, way cooler than LEGOs! So anyway, we were blacklisted from the store and booted to the food court! Whatever Orange Cup WAY beats the LEGO Geeks!
So why am I a space cadet??? because after Jennifer ran home to Bradley with Mouseketeer P in tow, Dennis and I sloshed around the mall for an hour because I was convinced I lost my phone only to find it when we returned home next to Dennis's car seat. I had already gone through the stages of mourning on the drive home over this phone so now I am kind of over this phone! To top it off, the whole time we were speed racing around the mall, Dennis was holding onto my V-Neck shirt and pulling it down. So apparently I am not super gorgeous like I thought- men were only staring at me because I was basically naked on one side!! NICE!!!
